Hi there! My name is Abigail Elaine.
For as long as I’ve imagined my college experience, I’ve imagined studying abroad. As the child of a former study abroad student (my mother spent a year in Brazil), I’ve grown up dreaming of the day I’d spend an extended period of time exploring and living in a foreign country.
Now, my dream is finally coming true! This fall semester I’ll be studying Justice and Human Rights in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark. Follow along with me as I try new food, see new places and (attempt to) learn Danish.
Why: “A Coffee Girl in Copenhagen”?
If you know me, you know I can’t function without a big cup o’ joe in the morning. Lattes, cappuccinos, plain black coffee, it’s all the same to me. The name of my blog was inspired by my host dad, Benny, who, once realizing my obsession with the black magic drink began fondly referring to me as a “coffee girl.” The nickname stuck, and here I am! A Coffee Girl in Copenhagen.
